Night Carnival. Nachtrummel.

It is the first night with good weather in Hoi An. Thus walking in the old town in the evening is more enjoyable than the other days. I would not say the atmosphere is much better than by daytime. Of course the lanterns are all lit which could give it a romantic flavor. It does, but it is spoiled by the shops, the rushing and pushing of tourists and the sellers and touts who offensively approach the tourists. I like the lights and the view of the river. However it is too much for me, too much hustle and bustle. Even more than in the day it feels like a big tourist carnival.

Es ist die erste Nacht mit gutem Wetter in Hoi An. Daher macht der abendliche Spaziergang in der Altstadt mehr Freude als die Tage zuvor. Ich kann nicht behaupten, dass die Atmosphäre so viel besser wäre als tagsüber. Die Laternen sind zwar alle schön erleuchtet, was ganz romantisch sein könnte. Ist es auch, aber das wird gestört von den ganzen Geschäften, dem Gedränge und Drängeln der Touristen, der Verkäufer und Schlepper, die die Besucher bedrängen. Die Lichter und der Blick über den Fluss sind durchaus malerisch. Mir wird es aber schnell zu viel. Es ist einfach zu viel Trubel. Noch mehr als tagsüber fühlt man sich wie auf einem riesigen Touristenrummel.
